Castello Monaci Salento Wine at its Finest

Castello Monaci, an estate whose expanses blend with the contours of the place where it stands: the Salento region.  A land between two seas, with special formations and countless shapes that represent nature.

Salento is known as the heel of Italy because of its shape: a strip of land, with two seas, the Ionian and the Adriatic, lapping against its shores. It is influenced by the sea (in the salinity of the soil), by the sun (the area with the most sun hours in Italy)
and by the wind (with its natural anti-mold effect).

Castello Monaci territory is divided into three different areas: Brindisi, Trepuzzi and Salice Salentino. The vineyards are located at an altitude ranging 30 metres above sea level.

Castello Monaci is a significant Salentine business enterprise, managed by the Memmo-Seracca Guerrieri family, with the goal to promote the typical products and varietals of a soil that is unique in the world. For years, the company has been working towards environmental sustainability with rigorous processes aimed at preserving this unique territory, which should be protected.

The production of the 210-ha vineyard is mainly based on native varietals – Fiano, Verdeca, Primitivo, Negramaro and Malvasia Nera di Lecce – across three different estates with very different soils and microclimates of Brindisi, Salice Salentino and Trepuzzi.
